I found Anna at reception very friendly & helpful. Excellent location, being interested in sea fishing it was ideal. Lift access & a room nearby for my disabled mother was a great help. Comfortable, clean room with internet access.

I was staying in room 59 and could hear the toilet being used in the next room, number 60?. Whilst sitting having breakfast & asking for brown sauce being directed by a staff member to the self service table, it would have been nice if they had got the item for me & explained in future you can help your self which I was not aware of at the time. A small point maybe? But I believe customer service is very important. I must stress though most staff were helpful & friendly.

Room was very comfortable and warm and thus afforded a great night's sleep. The lady on reception was very pleasant and professional - welcoming and helpful, and responded immediately to my request for extra blankets.

One waiter let the hotel down very badly. Unbelievably bad attitude. Told me off about the time I came for breakfast despite still being within the limit. He would not let me explain I had gone back out of the dining room to inquire at reception whether they had got my dietry request food in and then returned. He spoke over me, raising his voice! I complained and when he was brought by the dining room supervisor to apologise to me he still spoke over me!, Still not allowing me to say what needed to be said!! The owner of the hotel made due note and also apologised for not getting the dairy-free food in for me.

Despite the room being at the side of the hotel, we had a marvellous view of the coast. The staff were courteous and helpful and went out of their way to meet our requirements. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent. We will be staying there again.

The Hotel was Ideal for our visit. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent.

The Hotel appears to have undergone a number of structural changes throughout its life with the result that there are too many changes of floor level for my wife to negotiate as she is disabled. Room 58 is a cold room and the fan heater provided did not work. The shower would only deliver tepid water. Two of these problems can easily be fixed with little bit of maintenance but the uneven floors would be too much for my wife which is a shame because your staff are lovely .

Very nice looking hotel from the outside and in, very comfortable, good food and friendly staff for its 3 star rating. Easy parking and ability to walk right onto the beach adjacent to the hotel. Excellent location for touring the island.

Nice atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Food was good, nice quiet location, on a bus route, we didn't hire a car, the bus stop was right outside. It was a good base for our walking holiday.

Room was a little small, but that wasn't important to us.

From time of arrival to our leaving all staff extremely courteous and helpful.Providing bus timetables (a great advantage for cheap and easy access to all parts of island, suggest leave car at home).Could not fault food and friendly service, with lovely evening meals with quests who were staying in other hotels in Jersey.Have already recommended other friends to use the Shakespeare and will have not hesitation in returning. Thanks for lovely girl our reception for getting us tickets to great show at Opera House at such short notice. Thank you Shakespeare.

Helpful staff, good secure cycle storage. Good location, with nice sea view. Convenient location for St Helier centre and exploring the island, within easy cycling distance. Early breakfast and packed lunch well organised on the day we left for ferry.

Shower was feeble. Restaurant appeared to be popular, but was disappointing, particularly the desserts.

The excellent welcome we were given by Marcus and Diana Troy and their Staff. Everyone was very friendly and pleased to see us (this was our third visit) and we will definitely be returning. The choice and presentation of food is excellent and well above standard for this grade of Hotel.
